As an engineer, you want to know that the technology you’re working with is time-proven so that you can ensure your structures will have a long service life. The best way to determine that for crystalline waterproofing admixtures is by taking a look at how they got started. To do that, we’ll first take you through a bit of Kryton’s history. More than 40 years ago now, here at Kryton, we were looking to provide a better solution to the waterproofing market, and under that mindset came the creation of Krystol® technology. Applying this surface treatment to concrete allowed the concrete to chemically react to any incoming water, forming crystals to block micro-cracks, capillaries, and other potential water pathways.
