GC Eng provided a range of design services for the MOMA's Michelin-star rated café, The Modern. In addition to general HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems design, the firm also oversaw these features of the eatery:
Modified the existing lighting with new LED fixtures through coordination with the lighting vendor and the architect
Modified the existing facilities, to incorporate one new ADA compliant restroom
Evaluated existing 350-gallon grease trap which had been experiencing overflow problems and developed solutions to resolve this problem
The Modern now stands as one of the museum's most celebrated features and consistently attracts art lovers and culinary connoisseurs from all over the world.
