GC Eng was hired by the owner to bring the Manhattan Times Square Hotel into compliance with NYFD and the NYC Environmental Control Board codes. We were tasked with certifying that all exit/directional signs were connected to the proper emergency power sources and storage battery equipment.
Verification by GC Eng involved:
Surveying and confirming location of emergency generators and batteries
Testing and confirming all existing exit signs were operational
Identifying locations of malfunctioning or non-compliant/missing signs
Re-inspecting remedial work
Once the premises were satisfactory reviewed and inspected, we coordinated with the owner's expeditor to provide certification of the required DOB/NYFD documents in order to attain final approval.
